How we do it

Annual Christmas Angels Webathon

Raising over $40,000 in 8 hours! We can only do it with your generosity and support.

The Hants County Christmas Angels Webathon (formerly a Telethon) is our signature fundraising event. Held each year on the first Sunday of December, all funds raised go to local families. The more we raise, the more children and families we can help. It's as simple as that.

Everyone in the community works hard to help the Christmas Angels succeed. Local schools, fire departments, organizations, individuals, and businesses all work together. Almost 250 volunteers bring the Telethon to our community. Musical performers donate their time too, and we showcase the huge range of talent in Hants County.

Building a partnership with Matthew 25 Food Bank and the Salvation Army helps us to ensure that our help is distributed as fairly and widely as possible within Hants County. We also try to make sure that families who don't meet the income requirements but are still struggling (the "working poor") were supported wherever possible.

Annual Toy Drive

Our Annual Toy Drive helps supplement our Tree of Hope program.

Every year, the need gets bigger. To meet our need for children's gifts, we offer a Toy Drive hosted by two local businesses. Starting in November, you can donate a new, unwrapped toy to one of the participating locations. Please find us on facebook for current details and locations.

This projects runs in conjunction with our Tree of Hope program. Please do not wrap your donations - we need to be able to see the item to match it with the right child.

Trees of Hope

Each year, local businesses host our Toy Drive or our Tree of Hope program.

Every year we offer our Toy Drive each year with spectacular results. Locations can vary from year to year, with this year's hosts at Chuck Porter MLA and Kent Building Supplies.

Trees of Hope can be found in many locations and can vary a bit from year to year. Windsor Home Hardware, Swinamer's Home Building, and Lakeland Variety Store in Mount Uniacke are just a few of our dedicated supporters.

Wishbook Families

Provide Christmas for a whole family.

Perfect for businesses or groups, we'll match your group with a family on our list. Your group will provide gifts, the meal, and maybe even some extras to bring Christmas to the whole family. It's a wonderful way to share in the spirit of giving at Christmas.

Being a Wishbook recipient was the start of a happy time of HOPE for my family, to see a smile on my kids’ faces when things were hard for us. - Wishbook Recipient.

As to why we support the Wish book, we all live or grew up in the community and love supporting this cause as most of us also have children of our own. If things were different we would hope that people would support the cause if we [ourselves] had to use the Wishbook or Christmas Angels. We also love the fact that funds raised for the Christmas Angels stays right here in our community. - Wishbook Donor.
