Supporting local families
What We Do
Christmas can be a financial and emotional burden. Funds raised go directly to support local families.
We respect the dignity of the parents and the family. Our applications and services are confidential.
We don’t judge, and we don’t condemn.
How we do it
Hants County Christmas Angels offers three primary programs each year.
There are many ways you can help, reach out to us if you have an idea specific to your family or business.
Annual Christmas Angels Webathon
Our signature event, our Webathon is held every year on the first Sunday of December.
Raising over $70,000 in 8 hours! We can only do it with your generosity and support.
The Hants County Christmas Angels Webathon (formerly a Telethon) is our signature fundraising event. Held each year on the first Sunday of December, all funds raised go to local families. The more we raise, the more children and families we can help. It’s as simple as that.
Everyone in the community works hard to help the Christmas Angels succeed. Local schools, fire departments, organizations, individuals, and businesses all work together. Almost 250 volunteers bring the Webathon to our community. Musical performers donate their time too, and we showcase the huge range of talent in Hants County.
Building a partnership with Matthew 25 Food Bank and the Salvation Army helps us to ensure that our help is distributed as fairly and widely as possible within Hants County. We also try to make sure that families who don’t meet the income requirements but are still struggling (the “working poor”) were supported wherever possible.
Trees of Hope
Make a child's wish come true this Christmas.
Each year, local businesses host our Tree of Hope program. Each tree is hung with tags that correspond to a specific child. Choose one, two, or more tags to help make a child’s wish come true this Christmas!
Trees of Hope can be found in many locations and can vary from year to year. Find us on Facebook for this year’s locations!
Provide Christmas for a whole family.
